KEVIN BURR
Kevin Burr is an Assistant Professor of Bible and Ministry at Harding University in Searcy, AR. He teaches classes on the New Testament ranging from freshman-level classes on the Gospels, to upper level courses on Paul’s letters and the Gospel of John, as well as Intermediate and Advanced Greek. Kevin also has almost a decade of congregational ministry experience, working with churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas.
He graduated from Harding University in 2008 with a Bachelor’s in History, and then again in 2010 with a Master’s of Science in Education. In 2014 Kevin completed the Master’s of Divinity from Harding School of Theology, after which he pursued a PhD in Biblical Studies (New Testament) from Asbury Theological Seminary, graduating in 2020.
LUKE DOCKERY
Luke serves as the Youth In Family Minister of the Cloverdale Church of Christ in Searcy, Arkansas, and has worked in congregational ministry for two decades. He is an Adjunct Instructor of Youth Ministry at Harding University and directs Harding’s annual Youth Ministers Workshop. He is also the founder of Deeper Youth Ministry, where his primary role is overseeing the development of Bible class resources for teens and youth ministries.
He graduated from Harding University in 2005 with Bachelor’s in International Business and Spanish, and completed the Master’s of Divinity from Harding School of Theology in 2018.
Luke has written or co-written six books: Youth In Family Ministry: A Handbook (2018), Counter Culture: A Study of the Sermon on the Mount (2020), Why Are We Here? Ecclesiastes for Teens (2022), The Search of Significance: A Study of Ecclesiastes (2023), Kingdom Parables: A Study of the Stories of Jesus (2024), and Origin Story: Churches of Christ and the Restoration Movement (2025).
Luke and his wife, Caroline, have been married since 2006. They have three children who keep them on their toes and bring them exceeding joy. He enjoys writing on his blog, playing ultimate frisbee, and is a huge sports fan (particularly of his son Seth, the Arkansas Razorbacks, the Atlanta Braves, and Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal), and also enjoys reading and traveling.
Kevin and Luke met on the frisbee fields of Harding University, and have been close friends and co-laborers in God’s Kingdom for over 20 years.
